The Long Run by Edith Wharton (1862 - 1937).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://librivox.org/the-long-run-by-edith-wharton-by-edith-wharton/

A wealthy bachelor businessman looks back on the romance that he fumbled with a beautiful married woman he and his college buddy both had crushes on when younger. ( Matt Pierard)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/24133
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Dave added as DPL.
Moving to Going Solo (briefly!)

Matt, do you want to improve on the blurb?

It's a short work (enough for a single CD-R), so I don't want to give too much away, but I beefed-up the blurb.

That's fine -- just wanted to give you the opportunity as I foresee we'll be heading to the catalog today or tomorrow.

You only mention the section/part number at the end of the intro (~25s).
2-6 PL OK.

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://librivox.org/the-long-run-by-edith-wharton-by-edith-wharton/

Set it going before I left for work and hey presto! it's done when I get home.

Edit: No one has called me "kiddo" for about 40 years
