Section 4 is well read  Oof, poor woman :?

The volume is a bit soft here too. You might be able to increase input volume next time you record? (saves the work of amplifying :) )
Please amplify this recording by 10. Please ask if you have questions.

Everything else is good!

I am not sure the volume on this is loud enough' though I can only get it to amplify to 86.6 :hmm:

Please do let me know your thoughts.

Greetings.

Here is chapter 15, length is 8:46.51

After recording, how do we measure the decibels of the audacity recording before sending it off to you?

Thanks.

Thank you for the edited files and the new one :) Yay for sons that help! :9:

There are a few different ways of measuring dB, and it is just a matter of preference which one to use. All of them require downloading first, though.
- Checker -- my personal favorit because it checks technical settings etc as well.
- Replay Gain Plugin for Audacity (there is in the section Volume 2) ). I haven't tried this plugin, but many swear by it.
- MP3Gain -- also works perfectly well in my experience :)

Please keep asking questions when you wonder about anything

Sections 1, 2, and 3 are PL OK after spot-check

The volume in section 4 is much better, but still a little soft. The file needs compressing (that squashes the highest peaks) and ampilfying by 3 or 4. Here is a video explaining how to compress. If you/your son have questions, please let me know. :) Thank you, dbr!

Section 5 is well read, April :)

The volume is a little bit soft. Please amplify by 2 or 3. You might have to compress the recording first (that squashes the highest peaks, allowing us to amplify more). Here is a video that explains how to compress in Audacity https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ3lOTDsN6c. :)

Everything else is great
