linny wrote:I can hear what you are talking about. To me it sounds as if you may have changed recording location. Nice results with the changes you made. The sections after your changes have a warmer tone to them I enjoy however your initial sections are just fine and there is no need to record them over. We all have "first" recordings and all things considered yours are pretty awesome. Remember, we are generally our own worse critics.
Hi Linny and Thomas,
Trying to catch up here... I think the decision was not to re-record 25 and 26, but there are still some spot-fixes to do, right?

Correct. Here are the corrections to be made:
Section 25
Please trim ending silence. We only need 5 seconds and this recording is at 8 seconds. There is some noise at the end of the silence, if you remove this you may be down to 5 seconds.

Section 26
0:36 - 1:15 has some repeats and out of order text - should be - What is the name for land that has water on all sides but one? What is a peninsula? An island, as we have learned, is a piece of land with water all round it. Now, sometimes we see a piece of land that has water nearly all round it. This form of land is called a peninsula. The word peninsula means almost an island. How would you change this peninsula to an island? What is the difference between a peninsula and an island?

Did you remember to noise clean this section? Is sounds a bit "fuzzier" than your other recordings.

Please trim ending silence to 5 seconds.

36 is PL OK :)

Remember to double check file names before cataloging. You and Abby have some without the _128kb.

Oh, sorry about that! Yes, doing too many short sections too fast. I will fix them during cataloging.

You fixed everything other than the ending silence. I extended it for you and applied the leveler to bring the volume up a bit. How's this: https://librivox.org/uploads/smijen/homegeographyprimarygrades_22_long_128kb.mp3 5:36

Sorry for the delay everyone! I made these changes weeks ago and must have forgotten to actually upload them.

Section 25 is PL OK but the above note was not corrected in 26.

You left nice pauses between sentences. I did some cutting and pasting. Does this work for you?

That's fine. I think the HTML and Plain Text versions are in different order, probably mixed up because of the pictures.
