PL Notes Section 3

Intro: cut down to 1 second of silence, please
4:54 "seem to be partly evergreen", I hear have to be, different, but not too noticeable.
4:57 "the La Marque", I hear the Marque. I don't know if this is a variety of antique rose still in existence where the name might matter.
6:07 Such weather! I hear "Such a winter, then repeats winter a few words later.
9:50 yet hot enough, I hear get not enough

Let me know if there is anything else needed on that chapter.

Thanks

Thank you, Michele, for another fine reading. I have two items for your consideration.
17:17 I heard "helpless" and expected "hopeless"
22:34 I heard "grounded" and expected "ground"
I don't think either of these is critical but I mention them to give you the option of fixing them if you want to. :)
Otherwise the recording is PL OK.

Thanks Tom. Changes made. I had noted these myself while editing, then forgot to change them. :?

PL Notes Section 09

Pleasant listen. :) Only thing I noticed was that from 1:25-2:27, the Dr. _____ quote, volume spikes over 89 by 4.7. I recommend you bring down volume at least by 2.

Here's a bit of Stowe's poetical wisdom in this chapter that I particularly enjoyed:
"every place, like a bit of tapestry, has its right side and its wrong side; and both are true and real,—the wrong side with its tags and rags, and seams and knots, and thrums of worsted, and the right side with its pretty picture."

I love this job!

May I claim section 17? How would you like the blanks after the Mr.to be read? "Mr. ---"

Evidently when I "do a voice" I do it louder than my normal recording level for some reason. I've knocked it down by 3db.

Length 18:35
I was struck by the tapestry analogy too. Brilliant!
