I do have two more or less completed stories - one by De Maupassant, and one by Thomas Burke, but I realise I may be boring the pants off everyone with my endless stream of stories and my voice. Neither are too long, probably about 20 minutes each, very approximately.

I don't want it to become a Lurcherlover takeover show.

I will probably do that then, even though they are both complete, although it will be at least two months before the next collection starts, I would think.

I'm thinking of doing a solo book if I can find one that is not too long (preferably less than 200 pages, ideally 150 pages) - and one that I like. I think such books are hard to find, and I would rather do one that has not been read before, if possible. Such a book might take me five to ten weeks to complete and risks me giving up on it.

Of course there may be relevant children's books, and I'm not against doing that should I be unsuccessful with adult fiction.

Hello Lynne,

I uploaded a short story (Maria is the BC or MC). But as she is doing doing only for children, she has directed me to your site.
I have uploaded the file again, after renaming it, on the server. The details are below:

• The link: https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/shortstorycollectionvol066_deathbedconfession_jo_128kb.mp3
• Source URL: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/4378/4378-h/4378-h.htm#confession
• Name of your story: A Death-bed Confession
• Author: E. Nesbit
• Length in minutes: 19:39

Can you please include it in your collection? Also, I don't know how to delete the one I've already uploaded.
Will be grateful if you can take it up from here.

Regards,
James

Thank you, James.
Yes, I will deal with it -- only admins can delete from the server (so Maria could also delete it from her folder). FYI, we can actually move things around behind the scenes, so I could have grabbed it from her folder and put it in mine but this way works too.

Hello Lynne,

Please include the following in your collection:

https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/shortstorycollectionvol066_arachne_jo_128kb_final.mp3
Name of your story: Arachne (A Book of Myths)
Author: Jean Lang (Mrs John Lang) (1867–1932)
Source: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/22693/22693-h/22693-h.htm
Length: 12:25 (11.93 MB)

The Greek names were were a bit of torment. Time to trouble the PL. :(

Thanks,
James Oinam

Walking The Rainbow, from The Pleasant Ways of St. Medard, by Grace King 1852-1932
https://archive.org/details/pleasantways00kingrich
37:34
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/shortstorycollectionvol066_walkingtherainbow_vfkabt_128kb.mp3

Note: this is actually a chapter from a novel, but it reads pretty much as a stand-alone story about social mores in post Civil War Louisiana.

Thank you... and I don't see any problem there.
