thank you very much!
there are some small notes id like to make already:
how long is the recording (mm:ss)? please remember to always post the duration of the recording along with the link when you upload a recording so that i can fill in the magic window
also, the file name should be strangeadventuresofericblackburn_##_collingwood.mp3 (in fact, it shoul be strangeadventuresofericblackburn_##_collingwood_128kb.mp3 but i just saw that i forgot to add that last bit when i launched the project ) this is easy for me to fix on the server if the recording is otherwise pl ok. but if anthony has any pl notes for you, please upload with this right file name thank you very much!

SECTION 4 - I take Command of the 'Yorkshire Lass
Tom, It looks like this is your first reading. Welcome to Librivox!
First of all, your reading was perfect! Great job on a long narrative! Those can be very difficult.
There are a few technical issues that are quite common when first starting, and all minor issues;
-Please name the file with all lower case letters when you upload.
-The bit rate should be set to 128kbps (is currently 192kbps)
-The sampling rate should be 44.1kHz (is currently 48kHz)
-The recording should be in mono mode (is currently in stereo mode)
-The volume should be between 86-92dB (is currently 76.4dB)
-At the end of the recording there should be ~5s of silence (currently ~1.5s)
-At the end of the recording should be;
END of recording
At the end of the section, say:
"End of [Chapter]"
If you wish, say:
"Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
At the end of the book, say (in addition):
"End of The Strange Adventures of Eric Blackburn, by Harry Collingwood. "
I use the program at the following;
http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker
This program will flag the technical items and is made for Librivox recordings. If you are using Audacity recording software, it can be hard to validate some of the technical information. This works very well. However, it will not check the silence at the end of the recording and the end of recording disclaimer statement.
Thanks so much for helping out! Keep up the great reading!
Anthony
