I just got my yearly complete computer clean up that took 3 days. So if you notice anything off just let me know. Also I went ahead and re-recorded everything. Please shoot me a message if you need anything.

thank you kurianza. please see my notes on the other project, these files have the same problems. the .mp3 is doubled, which is not a big problem in itself. but you have submitted section 21 instead of 22. could you please have a look at that? thanks!

Hi Joshua.

Thanks for the re-records of these, they sound a lot better. You are great at bringing out the rhythms of the poems. I ran the files through the Checker program to check their volume and it says that they are each in the mid 70 dB range for volume. Our goal is for the files to be 89 dBs or within three dBs of that on either side (so 86 to 92 dB). Each of yours will need to be Amplified about 15-20 dBs to bring it into this range.

If you haven't already, I would highly recommend downloading the Checker program and using it to check your own files. It's super helpful and takes a lot of the guesswork out of finding the volume for your files. There is also a plug-in for Audacity (if that is what you're using), called ReplayGain that checks the volume for you right within the program. Here's the link to the wiki page on Checker: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker. And here is the link to the wiki page on ReplayGain: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Measuring_Volume_within_Audacity.

Please let Carolin or me know if we can be of any further assistance! Thanks, again.

Jill

Edited to add: Thanks for the run times of the files! And please also see Carolin's note about the file names.

Here is one of your file names:

https://librivox.org/uploads/carolin/twotwilights_07_beers_128kb.mp3.mp3

At the end where I've bolded and italicized you will see that .mp3 is listed two times in a row. Hope that helps!

when you export a file from audacity, it will add a .mp3 automatically. so if you enter it in the field of how you want your file name, dont add a .mp3 manually, otherwise it will be doubled. does that make sense? :)
