Uhhhhm helllp :-p I recorded the next chapter and bunged it through MP3 gain because it was a bit too quiet, and the flipping thing has only gone and done this....

It registers as being 89 decibels because the MP3 checker is all like, "oh this fine is totally great no problems with the volume" ... but omg there clearly is some kind of issue, and I have no idea how to get this volume equalised properly. (>,<) heeeelp please.

I did this (except using the leveller because the option seems to not actually exist any more) and it did pretty much nothing. :-p but most of the settings in the topic are just the defaults anyway.

Have to ask: do you still have the original file?

Unfortunately, i don't.
It may be easiest to just re-record the file, I think?
It would not be too bad. It was my first recording for a long while, so a second effort might be better anyway - and it is not a long chapter.

I tried playing with it a little bit but a re-record would probably work out the best.
