Chapter 14 is PL Okay
Chapter 15 needs small edit. At 15.0 which had been moved mysteriously to a dreadful end. Then a throat clearing.

Off to listen to more.

Sections 16, 17 and 18 are PL OKAY.

This part is even more exciting. Giant hairy spiders. NO :!:

Queen Hatshepsut is fascinating history. I saw a really good show about her. It was about the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and Tutankhamon if I remember correctly. My favorite history is the Great Library at Alexandria and Hypatia. Read about her name in a Anne McCaffrey book in the 80's and was interested.

I hate typing on my Kindle. Hope you are well.

Chapter 15 fixed and reloaded. Sorry about the delay. Life seems designed to delay things. As soon as I get my voice back and stop coughing, I will proceed.

What a relief! A more modern Myra would have clocked the wierdo when he started getting inappropriate. "What? My hair? No Way!' Of course, she might have clocked Robert Cairn when he started mauling her, too. A thoroughly modern Myra would have ended this book by now, but our bumbling bros make for more chapters. Why the heck didn't they just head directly for the orchid house instead of going home first to look things up? Why did they stop to put the book back and lock the drawer? Where is Google when you need it?

Finis.

Wax pellets and incantations? I was hoping for more of an epic battle of the magicians. I guess they didn't know about Harry Potter yet. They could at least have launched the wax pellets with a pea shooter. Of course, heroines faint, so they won't get in the way. If Cairn followed a man to Baker St., why didn't he just stop by and get a real detective on the case? Psychopath against psychopath, you know?

How're things? When does spring spring in Dawson?

Don,

Oh my gosh, I've been waiting for new chapters and wondering why you had stopped recording :!:

I have not gotten any emails from librivox.

So VERY VERY sorry I did not check sooner.

I've been listening to the librivox channel on Roku for a couple months. Making baby hats like crazy since I got a huge pile of new baby yarns.

Dawn

Sections 19 - 31 are all PL OKAY.

That was a let down of an ending. But the book was so good that I don't mind.

Congratulations on another great solo

If you don't fire me, I look forward to working with you again.

Spring has sprung in Dawson. After some 70's and trees budding the weather turned into cold, wet and below freezing a few nights. Normal Minnesota.

Again, well done with the solo work. Dawn :D

Hey Tricia,

Any idea what happened that I'm not getting email updates?

Did something change with the last big crash?

Thanks, Dawn

As soon as I fix my computer and choose a book, we will be off and running. It has been in the 80s and 90s here.

I see this is ready for cataloging. I'll do it today after work.

Dawn - the only problem I've ever heard of with notifications is if you check a post when not logged in. You've read it, but the forum software doesn't know YOU read it, so it thinks the former notification is still in effect. It doesn't clear it and send out a new one unless you are logged in when reading the thread. Now that you've come to the thread while logged in (as evidenced by your posting), I'm guessing your notifications will return to normal, with one from Don's post last night.

Thanks much Tricia. I do check LV without signing in.
In future I will have my Kindle log me in.
Good to know.

We are off and running on a new horror fantasy. You are the DPL, Dawn. Only way I work.
