Mark, I'll add a placeholder. :)

ETA - Sorry, it looks like I overlooked your first two posts... no you don't need to give me the link to the text of CPDV until you submit the recording. :)

I'd like to read Job Chapter 42 from the 2001 Translation next. It's in the public domain, but I'll send you the website link anyway!

Mark - that would be great, but one thing:
The 2001 Translation is not (and probably never will be) available in hard copy.
I'm not sure this would be okay for the LibriVox catalog, because all of our audiobooks have to have been published.

Kanga's right on this. We require works to be traditionally published, not self-published or published on-line.

Sorry about that, but hopefully there's another translation that you would enjoy reading this passage from.

MaryAnn

Would online-only works like the American KJV and the New Heart English Bible also fall under this rule? I guess I'm still confused about this because I did not see any indication on the part of Ronald Conte (translator of CPDV) that there would be a hard copy version published any time soon. So, would works have to be published as actual physical books? There are many versions that have only been published online, and so I'm wondering if anything not later published as books is prohibited.

I know the 2001 Translation editor said something about it being a work in progress, too. Would that be another reason it couldn't be recorded because there is no set time for it to be completed? Just asking for clarification on both matters. Thanks!

May I read Job, Chapter 42, out of the Rotherham's Emphasized Bible of 1902? I will see if I can use an Archive.org copy if there is one.
