hi julia,

thank you for your contribution!

pl 03 tomtom clue
checker: your file is too loud! we aim for 89 db +- 3db - so you need to amplify your file! (do you use audacity? its very easy with that: your file has 93,5 db, so minus 4,5 db would be perfect
audacity check: we aim for beginning silence between 0,5 - 1 second. maybe copypaste your silence until you reach the 0,5, or generate silence? since you have to ampflify, please correct that.

as a hint: there is a sentence missing at 7:56 "It was difficult to know where to start."
it is not really disturbing, missing or making the contents misunderstandable, so an edit is up to you!
please notify me, when you decide to add it, so i can spot-pl this!

thank you for your good work!

cheers,
schrm

Hiya, this is a common misunderstanding. We dont actually need exactly 0.5-1 seconds of silence and no more or less. What is meant here is that the silence at the start should not be longer than about half a second to a second. This is to make sure that the listener actually hears something when they press play. So basically, no silence at all is fine.

The 1 second limit is also not set in stone. My personal rule of thumb is a heartbeat, do i dont start complaining as dpl until the silence is like 3 seconds or longer :)

I hope that makes sense :)
