John checked in, and yes, I think he's getting on, if slowly.

Believe it or not, I'm back. Sorry for such an incredibly long hiatus. With a little bit of luck, I can work my way through my remaining assignments in the next few days. As a token of good faith, here's section 25

John,
It's wonderful to hear you again!

One slight correction for you:
4:33 Earth could not answer; nor the Seas that mourn
In flowing Purple, of their Lord forlorn;
Nor Heav'n, with those eternal Signs reveal'd
And hidden by the sleeve of Night and Morn.

I hear love

That may be a "felix culpa" here. "Love" having plainly an assonance with "sleeve" two lines below. As in "Alas my love" and "Greensleeves". At least in my opinion. (ALIMO).

Wasn't there a song, "Put a Little Love in Your Part", or something of the sort?

25 is spot check PL OK

28 has missing lines but it appears to be due to the script labeling. I believe they belong to Erin. I’ll note in the parent section for editing.
VIII. You should have heard the Hamelin people Ringing the bells till they rocked the steeple
X. The Piper’s face fell, and he cried,
All of XII and XIII

40 is PL OK!

I think you're right that these are Erin's lines, although not notated as such in the script. I did a spot check of her recording and it sounds like she read them.

But if I need to, please let me know.

Thanks.

Goodness, but you two are quick. Thank you very much, both of you! And thanks for the heads up about the Browning poem. It's rather fitting that the Pied Piper is causing trouble!

Off topic, I think Put a Little Love in Your Heart was by Jackie De Shannon, though I'm struggling to remember what else she sang.

She also did '"What the World Needs Now Is Love" by the immortal Burt Bacharach. Seems like Jackie was kind of hung up on love -- but then, it was the era of the "summer of love", flower power and all such needful things.

I think "I hear love" was a Donna Summer number. "Summer of Love" - you know? ("Number" as in "that which numbs". ALIMO.)

Go John! Obviously I'm partial to Keats, but I'm really looking forward to hearing your narration.

You're quite right about Jackie DeShannon. I sold her short. I'm glad I can rectify that error on youtube!
