Ian! That was, as usual, flawless and beautiful! I love your voice. Chapter 2 is PL OK!

As an aside, there's something I'd like to share. I read through this entire work, because Sara Teasdale's poetry, her art, her visual imagery fascinates me. 'Places', the first poem you read, remains my favourite one out of them (and one of my favourite ones in life, too), and it sounds amazing in your voice. Incidentally, I had just discovered a piece of music recently which I fell absolutely head over heels in love with, and I was reading this poem while listening to that song - and the feelings that this combination evoked, the images they painted, are unforgettable for me. The song is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsO5xlywGpU . They somehow seemed perfect together, and will forever be coupled, in my head, to be inhaled together.
With your permission, I'd like to the edit them together and join them, for my own personal collection and to give to my friends to listen to. It would be a pleasure! (I don't know if Librivox has any rules concerning this.) Thank you Ian, your reading of this poem really made my day!

And thank you so much for your sweet words, Librivox really IS the best community in this huge webworld.

Hi Anusha! Thank you so much for your kind words - you really are very generous.
Of course you can do whatever you want with my audio (it's public domain, after all) but I'm flattered that you ask. And that's a lovely piece of music. I'll PM you a link to the uncompressed file which will be a better starting point for you - it may take a few days. I love musical settings of spoken work pieces; it's an under-appreciated form!
Best regards,
-Ian

Hey Jim, that was a lovely reading! Welcome to Librivox!

There are no errors in the text, however some tiny edits need to be made to the recording. The volume of your track, according to the Checker, right now falls at 83 db which is a little low - the ideal volume should be around 88 - 90. If you're using Audacity, you have to select your complete track, go to Effects, click on Amplify and increase the volume by +5. That should do it! If you face any problems, be sure to ask!
I'd also suggest that, because you will be amplifying the volume, the track could do with a little bit of noise removal. This page - http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Noisecleaning_With_Pics - will explain to you very well how to do it.

These are just tiny technical details, which you'll get used to and you'll be well on your way to having a good recording! :)

After you've finished editing it, you can use Checker, an application used by Librivoxers to check tracks themselves, here's another link on how to download and install it - http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker . Re-upload the track with the same name, and post it here!

Thanks! And Happy Librivoxing :)
