Just wanted to say I'm completely new to Librivox, but, like Whitman beginning his studies, may never get past the first few examples I've listened to, they are so good.

Gordon, your voice has now been joined inextricably with Whitman's in my mind. I will fail to tell you how much I am in your debt for revivifying Walt in my hearing.

Song of Myself, in particular, a masterpiece. I carry it on my iPod, I play it to my ageing father, I send the link to friends. I keep listening to your work here again and again.

Leaves of Grass was a special project for me. Whitman's work seems meant to be spoken aloud, and takes on a life of its own.

I hope you'll go on to explore the rest of the growing Librivox library. There are a lot of fantastic recordings (with more coming every day, it seems!).
