And it's a very surface view of things, of course. One can't summarize 1900 years of church history without leaving a lot out.

It's only the first 6 centuries, and it's 15 hours long, but it might be worth a listen for your friend. :)

Chautauqua is mentioned in 123. It was still active when this was written. In fact, this work was written as part of the Chautauqua curriculum.

Yes, Chatuaqua. :D

There is so much explained in all the sections about just how some beliefs came into being. Humans got their hands and egos into it. Very interesting stuff....mostly. ;)

I thought section 125 was there when I popped into the MW to ok 120-123. Then I only saw 124 and 126. Did I do something? Did you do something? Or was I mistaken that it was there at all?
