The play Stormy Scenes, section 35, completed and in the MW for PL.

There are a couple more plays with all the parts in that I will also complete editing shortly.

Thanks, Todd

Todd, it appears to me that both
114 - Cab-Driver
115 - Street-Loafer
are.... you guessed it, non-speaking roles?

I don't like cross-dressing, so the only thing left for me to read would be the stage directions of this very same play. However, I don't really feel like this right here and now...

This project seems to go relatively slowly, so maybe it'll be still open later?
Cheers, Ava.

Hello Todd

I would like to do
#7 Mr Calton - Boarder at Mrs. Tibbs'

This is my first dramatic reading: Do I leave 5 seconds between each line?

Thanks

Great.

Yes, you do leave about 5 seconds between each line - between what you say and anyone else including the narrator. I have to cut all the lines apart to assemble the master file and I need to be able to clearly see the gaps.

Also record a voice credit: "Mr Calton - Boarder at Mrs. Tibbs' - read by Tom [or whatever you want in the catalog]"

Thanks, Todd

I'll just grab the first open part that seems good to me.

I'll take #110, Mr George.

Thanks, and welcome to Librivox.

To do a character part, you create a file with all the lines complete for the chosen character in the chosen play using the link to the document text given in the first forum posting. As you record, feel free to experiment with different characterizations for each line - happy, sad, surprised, depressed - whatever you think is right for the story.

Then edit it down to what you think is the single best reading for each line. Please make sure you leave several seconds between lines because I have to cut the files apart and paste them together again to create the completed play.

Also, at the start of your file record a Voice Credit - "XXX read by YYY" (YYY = your own name or whatever you want to appear in the final play).

Read the first posting in the forum for instructions on proper file name and upload instructions, and be sure to post the upload file name link in a message here so that we can get it set up into the Magic Window and have the file PL'd before I edit.

Thanks, Todd

I would like to do the small role of Mr Simpson (#9) as well as the larger role of Mr Malderton (#14) if you please.

Great. I can't put the claims into the MW until I get home later today but they are yours.

HI Todd

One more question, from a newbie

After I finish reading the character, do I
a) wait 5 seconds and say: End of [Name of Play]? Or
b) just wait for 5 seconds after I finish reading the character?

Thanks,

The narrator reading Stage Directions will take care of the "End of __" line. And the ~5 seconds in a character file is so I can tell where lines begin and end as I cut them all apart - at the end of the file I won't have that problem so you don't need 5 seconds.

Thanks, Todd

I have assembled a couple more of the plays - 84 Betsy Trotwood, 117 Silas Wegg, and 126 Jenny Wren ready now for PL.

Only 5 plays still have some uncompleted parts in them!

Thanks, Todd
