Trotsa wrote:LOL, thanks for the info. I know he isn't the nicest in the book, but that's OK. My concern is that I don't know how to sound like a bully. I think I'll do my best then mess around with audacity settings until he sounds as genuine as possible. I can't wait to tackle it. :D

ETA: Do you mind if I also take Squire Morris & Squire Allen? They are in different chapters than Sam and I think it could work out. Not that I sound like a Squire either :? , but i love to mess around with voice pitches, and audacity can do wonders. I'd enjoy taking a shot at it.
Well, sure! Sounds good! I'm excited to see what you come up with!

Woohoo! Can't wait to hear it!

You file has an extra ".mp3" on the end of it. You don't actually have to add "mp3" to file names at all because it's always automatically added. It's okay for this time, though. Just letting you know for future reference. Thanks, Aaron!! :)

Is it too tinny? :hmm: Whenever I edit the hissssssssssss out of my recordings, it degrades the sound... makes it sound unnatural and like i'm speaking through one of those astronaut helmet radios.

Possible mistake spotted #2

Miss Celia: With a laugh and a kiss, Thorny shambled off to ascend his chariot, good-humoredly saluting his pusher, whom he found sitting on the high rail behind, with his feet on Sanch.

I guess this should have been narrative ?

Bab: It Looked Just as easy as anything; I don't see how he did it. Is colored for betty, but is a line for Bab. :|

Oh, I didn't notice you joined yesterday!

Welcome to LibriVox, Emmalou!
Before recording anything, you'll need to send in a 1-Minute Test to make sure all your technical specifications are in order. Here a link to the 1-Minute Test instructions: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
Also, if this will be your first recording, what would you like you catalog name to be? That's the part where you say, "Susy, read by..." It can be your forum name, your real name, or something else. Just know that it can't be changed because that's what gets read into the audio file.
If you would like a personal website or blog to be included on your catalog page, just let us know. :)
