There are also a few here.

If there are enough people interested it certainly could be done. It just needs someone to coordinate it.

I'd be happy to BC it, giving it a Australian Works Collection 001 (poems, essays, short fiction, and short non-fiction works, etc.) to see how it goes, if people think it'd be worthwhile. Can set it up this evening. What say?

One of Longfellow's juvenile poems, I think:

The Rainy Day, by H.W. Longfellow

Peter, Cori said she's happy to have this so I've scooted it over to the Longfellow collection.

Could I reserve a spot in this collection? I'd like to read A Sonnet of the Moon by Charles Best.

Hey, has anyone noticed there's lots of Aussie poems coming through?

I wonder whether it'd be an idea to do a 'set' of Aussie poems, you know, Patterson, Mackellar, etc...?

asy :D
That would be cool. I'm doing Glugs of Gosh (slowly... and in an English accent) over in Solo Projects, so feel free to stick that in when it's done!

No need to reserve a spot. Just post the poem when it's ready. :D

Hi,

I found this humorous poem when I was looking for a short story to read. It must have been written at least 100 years ago, but it sure is still applicable today.

Title: A Cry From The Consumer
Author: Wilbur D. Nesbit
From: The Wit and Humor of America, Volume I
PG Etext: http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/18464
Run Time: 2:31
File Size: 2.31MB
File Name: a_cry_from_the_consumer_nesbit_dl.mp3
Link to recorded file: http://download.yousendit.com/9EB7020968DE2472

I hope you get as much of a kick out of it as I did.

Oooh Susan,

I LOVE Jabberwocky, will be eagerly waiting for you to do this one, can't wait to have a listen!

asy :D

EDIT: It was fantastic. So VERY different to how I do it! It's great how so many people read that one so very differently. I have an idea for my first project, maybe I'll do a set of different readings of Jaberwocky!? I need to reduce my list of 'to do' then I'll maybe do that! What do you think?

Are you submitting an "Aussie" poems here?
I plan to set up the Australian Collection this evening.
You'll find it under Readers Wanted: Short Works.
