If there is anyone who speaks the British dialect of English, please help me with the pronunciation of these currency terms. They are postage stamp denominations, not ordinary prices (if that makes any difference).

1d one penny
4d four pence OR four penny
6d sixpence OR six penny
1s one shilling
twopence [spelled out] too pence OR tuppence
:?:

Chapter 1 PL Notes:
1:47 - Sentence needs to be re-recorded: "But... the passing fancy"
1:56 - Sentence needs to be re-recorded: "And... the fashion"

Your recording was very good. :)

I do not speak a British dialect, and as a BC I would suggest that you do it either way, to your preference. Pence or Penny is fine with me, as for the 1s I would suggest shilling.

But I don't know much about British currency, and if you would like to you could post a topic in Need Help? Got Advice asking about how you should say them.
