COMPLETE Shakespeare Monologues vol. 13 -ck
Brief update; I found I'd turned the volume up too high on some parts of Rosalind's speech so I corrected that and uploaded this correcter version. I hope that's alright. Nothing else has changed.

Wow, Tony. A man playing a woman playing a man. Plus also playing a man outright. Quite a tour de force!adonis wrote:As You Like It Act Three Scene Two - I have been told so of many; but indeed an old religious uncle of mine taught me to speak, by Rosalind. Read in English.

I think I've got that claiming format now; I'll try and remember that in future.

Sorry it took so long. I was trying to make it as good as possible, but in the end i had just to stop and settle with the outcome although deep down i still feel unsatisfied.
Question, if i wanted to record one in Arabic, how can i know it is public domain, or that i'm not violating the translator's rights? Also, would it be okay if i translated it myself and recorded it?

Hi. Could I make this claim:
Cymbeline -- The Queen -- 'Weeps she still, sayst thou?'
Thanks.

we dont unfortunately allow self-translated things as a rule. but i do think we can find a text for you.MarwaKh94 wrote:Question, if i wanted to record one in Arabic, how can i know it is public domain, or that i'm not violating the translator's rights? i dont know what the copyright law in your country is like, could you look up the general rule? probably the author and translator have to be dead for 50-70 years. shakespeare has been dead long enough under any copyright regime, but we will have to find the translator and his death date somehow for translations. but we will manage
lets have a look around the internet and try to find some old translations. i may or may not have found a usable hamlet: https://archive.org/details/hmltshak00shakuoft could you have a look at that text and tell me if this is right, and google the translator?
and if the hamlet is fine, i think we might be able to locate scans of other plays by the same publisher
