Scratch that -- either tomorrow, or at the absolute latest, this Sunday.

Hello, I just sent a recording of "The Duplicity of Hargraves" by O. Henry via YouSendIt. This was a really fun story, with all the elements you would expect from O. Henry. Enjoy!

Running time: 30:06
Recorded by: William Coon

Thank you Bill... file received. I adore O. Henry and look forward to listening to your recording.

Later ... I just took a quick listen and am so excited about the accents applied to the characters. Very well done! =)

I know this wasn't originally going to be in the short story collection (I had posted it over in Going Solo before realizing that in terms of the length, it would fit here), but I've got one:

The Children of the Zodiac, by Rudyard Kipling

(All the information you asked for is in the email accompanying the file.)

I had a WONDERFUL time recording it, and I hope people enjoy it!

Catharine! Great! You're number 10...

I'm going to run the stories through Listeners Wanted and then head right into cataloging this collection. I'll start a new thread for Short Story Collection 002 so that no one gets missed if they appear with a story.

Hello thistlechick a.k.a. betsie-

I am just getting started here. Librivox seems like such a great project! Thank you for your first post here; it was very helpful for me getting started. Also, Hugh has helped me greatly by email about some technical issues.

Two problems:

I wanted to listen to Billcoon's recording of Markheim but the "s52.yousendit...." that is posted above says file has expired. I assume he emailed it to you and you set up the temporary "yousendit" file. Is it still available in the Librivox bank somewhere?

Once I have put together a short recording, would I email it to someone like you?

Hi betsie,

Sorry about that. I found the recording. It seems there are many indexes of completed works. Is there a way all of them are together or at least searchable?

Ted, here is the Librivox full catalog: http://librivox.org/librivox-catalogue/

Anything that isn't completed, isn't there. If you want to listen to an un-completed project, you'll just have to peruse its particular thread and hope the recorder has their own server space. That's one part of yousendit, I think the links only last for seven days.

Hi Ted... I promise we're working on a searchable database of the Librivox catalog... I promise, I promise, I promise ... hehe... It's really important to me, if you couldn't tell =)

You are more than welcome to do readings for Librivox... in fact, we have another short story collection happening here: http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1131

Please, come join us =)

I just stumbled upon this one Bill, and let me tell you this one is GREAT! You've got just the right balance of shrewdness and madness and you really bring it off well. I listened to it over and over, catching new things every time. Thanks for several wonderful days of listening!
