Here is section 8 with a run time of 20:11

If you don't mind me taking another eternity and 3 days... I'd like to claim the rest of lesson 6. There are lots of earthquakes and volcanoes in Japan...

Hi Ava,
That would be great. There is no hurry. This project is moving like a glacier.
Thanks for Section 8!

In the mind, or consciousness of the Earth this flower first lay latent as a dream. Perhaps, in her consciousness, it nested as that which in us corresponds to a little thought.--A.Blackwood

We're using a geological time scale here Amy. BTW, I have not forgotten my commitment.
Best,
Barbara
How could you; it is trapped in amber. (or maybe just the MW)

PL NOTES:
SECTION 8 - LESSON VI.-PART 1: INFLUENCE OF INTERNAL AGENTS ON THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH. EARTHQUAKES.
Availle, Thanks for helping out on this project. Great reading! I only have one technical issue. At the ending you state "End of section 8", this should be "End of Lesson 6, Part 1" Please make that change and re-upload for the ok.

Amy, I want to read the foot note on page 14--definition of detritus, because it is not included in the glossary. It occurs in the middle of the sentence (sec 15) but I think I can fit it in as if it were in parenthesis, if you don't like it I can cut it out of the recording.

Hi Michele,
Reading it as if it were in parentheses sounds like a good way to handle it. It will be fine.
Thanks,
Amy

Hi Amy,
I'm about to start reading Section 3 but first, am I correct in assuming that:
1. we ignore the woodcuts (mine are mostly illustrations of fossils)?
2. we ignore all references in the text to the woodcuts (such as "see fig. 48")?
3. we also ignore the revision-type questions at the bottom of the pages?
Best,
Barbara

Hi Anthony,
Here is my Section:
https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/elementsgeology_03_ruschenberger_128kb.mp3
M:S
23:51
I got off to an over-enthusiastic start by referring to the "Carbonivorous" Formation but I pulled myself together and hope I got things right from then on.
Best,
Barbara
