I would like to do the narrator part for Phipps, but I've never done the narrator part for a play before. Do I just read the parts between the dialogue? Do I leave spaces--and if so, how much?

Hi Judy I have added you as narrator and I see Erin has given you some guidance as to how to proceed. Please ask if you need anything else.
Thanks

Yes, I do have one question: do I read the names before each person speaks: for instance "Sir G. (glances at wife) Oh, my dear....etc...."----Do I say "Sir G"

Thank you!jburlinson wrote:Hi -- could I claim section 12 Phipps a Butler ?

The first time that a character speaks, please read their name. After that, you only need to read it when there is a stage direction exactly like the one you mentioned, in which case you'd say the character's name and 'glances at wife', or 'quietly', or whatever the direction is.judyd1 wrote:

Section 2 Narrator PL notes:
0:28 one missing line: First Inquisitor. [aside]
Checker tells, that the volume is 82,9 dB. Would you, please, amplify it a bit?

Here is Lady Fanny for "Phipps". Very enjoyable to play, even though she is not what I would call a nice person.

May I read the part for the Freshman, Section 27, of The Belles of Canterbury?
I like this play-- I thought it was funny how everything the Canterbury people say rhymes!

I haven't started on Fancy yet. I need more time for a play and I think I prefer doing that over the weekend. Soon I'm gonna have a holiday, so looooaaaads of time to record.

I will sign you up to that sectionTwinkle88 wrote:May I read the part for the Freshman, Section 27, of The Belles of Canterbury?

Hi, I'd like to coordinate this play:
Thanks! I would like to play the Second Thief if this play is alright.* The Good Samaritan by Rita Benson
* http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/46419
* I can't find a link to the author or the text on Wikipedia.
* 12
* 1922
* Prologue and Epilogue. (The same.) (I was thinking that the narrator could be the same person as the prologue and the epilogue. Would that work?)
First Thief.
Second Thief.
Third Thief.
The Jew.
First Servant.
Second Servant.
The Priest.
First Levite.
Second Levite.
The Good Samaritan.
The Host.
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam,
Esther ben Simonides
Esther ben Simonides
I will set that up for you. However I feel that if you have the prologue epilogue and narrator as the same person it will be too confusing. It is better for the narrator to be separate that will make more sense.EstherbenSimonides wrote:Hi, I'd like to coordinate this play:Thanks! Could I please claim the priest in the Good Samaritan?
I was in a version of this in infant school (aged 5 or 6) and I played the glamorous and scene-stealing female vicar who crosses the road rather than helping. I wish to reprise the role
