Thank you! I am advertising for a proof listener to take a listen to our completed sections. If one doesn't come along in the next few days, I'll get back and PL this for you. Would do it now but work is crazy busy at the moment. Thanks again for your section!

Jill :)

I would love to proof listen for you. Let me know if that is ok. Thanks.

That would be great! Is this your first time proof listening? I would recommend you read through this page in the wiki: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Guide_for_Proof-listeners. This project is Standard proof listening so listen for the following (borrowed from that wiki page):
  • Listen for repeated words or passages that the reader likely intended to edit out.
  • Note any long pauses or bad background noises that disrupt the flow of your listening pleasure.
  • Note that the intro and outro has the correct wording as noted in the first post of the project thread, and 5 seconds of silence at the end (or 10 seconds if the recording is over 30 minutes).
  • If the recording seems too loud or too quiet, please note that as well.
  • It is NOT necessary for you to follow along with the text; just listen as you would normally.
If you have any questions, just let me know. Are you planning to proof listen to all the sections in this project or just those that are available right now? If you plan to listen to all sections, that makes you our DPL - Dedicated Proof Listener - and I will have Lynne add you to our Magic Window. Thanks very much for volunteering!

Jill :)

Lynne, am I able to change the post in Listeners and Editors Wanted to say Listener Found or is that something you have to do? Or should I wait until our files are proofed? Thanks!

If it's "stickied", I'll have to do it (I will in a couple of minutes). I'll leave the post there unless you have a DPL, though, so it can be easily found and the status changed back if necessary. If you have your DPL, I'll remove the sticky and give access to the MW.
