Hi Josh,
Here is section 29. I recorded the one footnote in the text (4) because there were no instructions to omit it as in some readings.

[LANGUAGE: GENRE] Title by Author
Project summary/description - copy from project thread.

This project is looking for prooflisteners. A DPL (Dedicated Proof Listener) would be preferred, but until one is found, we need prooflistening for completed sections.

Is this where I post if i am willing-ready to PL

FROM mlee

Project thread: link

Please post in the project thread if you can help with proof-listening.

Text: link

Level of PL: Standard
  • Does the intro match the one specified in the first post of the project thread (below the Magic Window)?

  • Are there any long silences or pauses that ought to be edited out? If so, note the time.

  • Are there any stumbles or repeats that ought to be edited out? If so, note the words and the time.

  • Is there excessive background noise, a constant hiss or buzz that detracts from the reading?

  • Did you need to turn your volume up unusually high to listen to the recording? (Or did you find the recording too loud?)

  • Does the ending match the one specified in the first post of the project thread?
  • Are there 5 seconds of silence at the end of the file (10 if the recording is more than 30 minutes long)?

New to prooflistening? Please read this FAQ.

Hi. Just uploaded section 17: https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/figures_17_symons_128kb.mp3 Time is 7:29.38 minutes

I hope that I did this okay. I'm new and this is my first recording. I'm unsure if it's right, but if not, I guess, someone will tell me. lol
It seems that there may be a few issues, but I'll wait to hear what you think. Have a Great Day!

Yes, it is! :) You have found the list of things to listen for, great! Please ask if you have any questions! :) When you have listened to a section, please post in the thread (that it is PL OK or whatever PL notes you have).

FROM mlee

Here is Section 7 Coligny 3,536 words

https://librivox.org/uploads/icequeen/figures_07_symons_128kb.mp3

Audacity = 1,547 = 25.78

Thanks for advice on PL. I am short time at 6 months. I am considering PL because I notice more lisping whistling on "S's" and more longer pauses between phrases and more breath sounds all of which I try to clean.

Hi mlee,

Welcome to this project! I think the file you've uploaded is for a different project, though. Let me know if you'd like to read any sections from this project and I'll assign them on the MW.

Thanks
