this is 1m59s for testing
the beginning and ending are about 1sec, since this isn't real
The technical settings are correct. However your volume is too loud. Are you able to use the ReplayGain plugin on Linux?
Also try and ensure that your input volume is as close to 89db as possibly (by using the slider next to the mic to adjust) so minimal editing is required.

Yes, I didn't give the beginning phrase where it was a heading. The "he is only good" is to identify the last line.

Thanks for getting right back to me. I will correct the volume and look at the gain thing. I know there is also a checker thing that I haven't tried to download yet. Thanks for Phil's videos.

Thank you. Kim is way for a few days, so I have added it to the MW for proof listening.

Section 10 PL Notes

@17:59
I hear 'body' where the text reads 'society' in phrase
but on which the very edifice of society is erected.

@27:55 I hear 'option' where the text reads 'portion' in phrase
irresolution is the portion of one whose weakness has placed him

@ 30:59 small repeat in phrase
as by a princess who lives

@31:13 repeat of
the "châtelaine."

@34:41 repeat in phrase
in the degenerative forms of psychopathy,

@35:06 repeat in phrase
a serious state of distress,

@39:00 omitted the phrase
others to draw it near;

@47:30 omitted 'left' from phrase
and so left the man within him

@48:04 to 48:13 needs to be deleted, is a partial repeat of paragraph

@48:30 omitted 'which' from phrase
with all the devotion of which his little soul is capable;

@48:32 omitted ' nevertheless' from phrase
nevertheless he has something within himself

@48:59 to 49:10 needs to be deleted

Hi Max,

I am sorry about the mess. I didn't mean for it to be more work for you or Proof Reader.
With this particular section, section 10, I was having technical difficulties with Audacity crashing and recovering together with messages about orphan files. I had to reread, re-editing, combing through the chapter and ended up having a few mp3 versions. My fear was to upload the chopped up version to Librivox. I will straight this mess out and re-upload in a few days. Again my apology and thank you for catching them.

Be well.

I have a question about how to read this:
"pover-ositive"
I didn't see a pdf link to be certain this was really how it was translated.
Do you think is should be 'positive', which is what I think it should be or 'over-positive'? It's an odd OCR error.

[Pg 292]
This is, I believe, the clearest and most direct reply to those who ask what can be hoped for in the morality and religion of the new generations, from our "pover-ositive" method of education.

Michelle, Kim is away for a few days, so you could either wait until the weekend for a definitive answer or go ahead and record it as it makes sense to you, knowing you may have to edit that phrase (I would go ahead, if it were me, but your choice).
Max may also have an opinion on this :lol: .

I recorded several different words, for when I get an answer. Meanwhile I am also going to be away for a couple weeks and don't know if I will be able to have audacity where I'll be, so I will wait.
Thanks,
Michelle

Hi,
Back a few days early - so able to pick this up. There isn't a pg typo. That is the exact wording in what looks like the original source
https://books.google.co.za/books?redir_esc=y&id=__MSAAAAIAAJ&focus=searchwithinvolume&q=%22clearest+and+most+direct+reply+to+those+who+ask+what+can+be+hoped+for%22

Thank you for following up.
