ToddHW wrote:Act 1 done and ready for final PL. As I mentioned above, I cut out a number of the narration cues about who speaks in what way or how they move where it does not help the story as an audiobook.

Thanks, Todd

PL OK!

I PL'd the new Ben Gunn line for Act 4 (PL OK) and act 4 is now done.

Todd
I PLed this file. The only missing lines that I heard where from the narrator. I'll list them with the page numbers where they can be found. I know some may not be as important as others but listed them for consistency's sake.

Scene 1:
pg 86 "Comes up", "forestalling Morgan"
pg 87 "Merry derisively" "surprised" "sit log Right"
pg 90 "with intensity" "impassioned"
pg 92 "and the men"

Scene 2:
pg 94 "frightened" "low to Jim"
pg 97 "in awed whisper"
pg 98 "in terrified whisper" "the same" "startled"
pg 99 "with Jim advances"

Scene 3:
pg 101 "without" "slips up"

Otherwise, it sounds great!
I will check, but I believe these were all intentional cuts I made in assembly. Some tell actors how to sound, and they already sound that way; others give directions for where people walk on stage and that won't matter in an audio play. This is a common practice in the plays here. I'll check each of them again to be sure.

Thanks, Todd

OK, then it is PL OK!

At 27:12, the end of Scene 2, there is both "bustle until curtain" and then "busy until curtain". I wasn't sure you wanted both in the recording.

Otherwise, this act is also PL OK~

Our wonderful narrator had been giving me two possible interpretations of what "Bus." in "Bus. until curtain" in the script might have meant. I eliminated the second "busy until curtain" line. Thanks for catching that!

Since our Joyce has not logged in since Jan or picked up the message I sent, I recorded the missing line and cut it into Act 3. It is in a scene with a lot of people talking (the attack on the stockade) and so it doesn't really matter who says the line.

So Act 3 is now ready for final PL.

Thanks, Todd

I'm sorry, Todd. "Joyce" is my daughter  With my stepdad passing and helping my mom with everything, I let this slide. I'm glad you were able to make it work. I will PL this file tomorrow. Thank you for all your patience.

I'm so sorry - I missed the family connection. Tell her not to worry about this at all now - I made it work. Again - sorry for your - and her - loss.

Thanks, Todd

Hi Todd

Just as a point of information I think "Bus. until curtain" probably means "business until curtain". The term "stage business" was often used in theatre at one time to indicate general activity on stage without dialogue.

Cheers

Ah. That explains it. It was in a couple of other spots too that I just cut out.
