Yay! Thank you!

Have you started working on 3? Do you want the claim back? :)

I haven't, but I did promise to do it back in December, so, go ahead and assign it to me. I'd done all but clean-up on _02 back then but got distracted. Now I just want to get into Watergate2 ASAP - this is the week!

If you're starting to record the next one, please note that you should leave out footnotes that are just citations of other texts.

PL notes for section 2:

0:58-1:10 - please remove footnote
1:24-1:28 - footnote
5:24-5:28 - footnote
(these are purely bibliographical footnotes that I didn't want recorded.)

That's it. Great reading!

Section 03

Note: The two footnotes - one bibliographical and the other was actual journal(?) entry in French govt doc ...which was in French so I did not read it, I believe it was a re-telling of what I had already narrated. As always, willing to make changes.

I feel compelled to request sections 8, 9, 11 and 12, i.e. all of the Pere Marquette narrative. I am from Wisconsin, and my family goes back there several generations. More footnotes than I am used to, and in reading some of the postings here it seems like I'll have to read them over carefully to see if there are some that should be omitted. Looking forward to this!

I just noticed Tricia you are originally from MN - FWIW, I lived most of my adult life in Chanhassen, MN.

Hi, Kurt! :) I went to high school in New Prague. :)

Glad to have you on board! 8, 9, 11, and 12 are yours. Holler if you have questions.

Well here is my rough attempt at Section 8. I tried to make sense of what to do with the footnotes, but... Don't hold back with the feedback, I'm going to stop recording until I have a better sense of how to handle them (never done a book like this before):

Section 8 PL OK!

The section had a honkin' lot of footnotes, didn't it? But you handled them fine. I might suggest a little more pause between "end footnote" and the following text, but that's a very minor quibble.

Good job on all the proper names!

I hope I didn't mess up, but this seemed a *lot* longer than section 8. Anyway, here is sec 9:
