Edited chapter 20 as suggested....hopefully did not make things worse. I really enjoy learning the editing process but still very untalented with it. Thanks!

I have marked it PL OK!
The noise level was much better.
The volume had gone up to 91 dB, which is right on the upper limit, so just scraped through :D

Have you downloaded Checker? It's free and very handy for checking your volume yourself. I run all my files through it as I have a tendency to be quiet, too. http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker

I have assigned 21.

Hi and welcome to Librivox!
This is a cute story for a first reading, but there are a few things to do before you get started.
You will need to complete a one minute test - this is to check your specs are up to Librivox standards, and if not, you'll be given hints on how to remedy that. http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
Please post your test in the Listeners Wanted forum (see the dropdown at the bottom of the page) for the speediest response. Waiting for the OK may seem tedious, but can save time in the long run.
You will also need to be added to the catalog of readers. I can do that for you, but I will need to know how you wish to appear. Most of us use our real names but a pseudonym or your forum name are acceptable. We can also link to a personal blog or website.
Be sure to read the first post - all the info you need is there, but if anything doesn't make sense, just ask. The wiki (see the top of the page) has bundles of info too.

I have confidence in you  I hadn't a clue when I started (some would say I still don't...) and there is so much to learn at first. Please don't be afraid to ask. Also, if you look in the wiki (link at the top of every page) there are answers to almost any problem you might have. Try typing videos in the search box... One of our admins has made a whole bunch of YouTube videos (mostly 2-5 minutes long) on all manner of things. It's how I learned most of it

Chapter 21 at 26:23

I like the stories and I love reading but my favorite part is the editing mainly because I'm learning so much. Audacity may (or may not lol) be a simple program but its great for someone like me who had zero experience. These posts and the help section/videos are great resources. Thanks! :)

Thank you for your section.
I agree, Audacity is great for non-techies!

Hi Jodi
Welcome to Librivox! I see you're one minute test has been approved, so the only other thing is to enter you in the catalog. I can do that for you. How would you like to be credited? Your real name, a pseudonym or your forum name are all fine. We can also link to a personal website or blog if you have one.
Before you record, be sure to read the first post. Everything you need is there, but if you have questions, please ask.
Lynne

Hi Lynne!
I did a chapter for another book and I think they set me up in the catalog.

Does this look right?

Thank you!

Ok, I couldn't find you  I'll try again. But you've got those chapters anyway.
