@ 2:15 I hear 'infection' where the text reads 'affection' in phrase
a simoon of affection.

@ 2:32 I hear 'efforts' where text reads 'effects' in phrase
the pernicious effects of osculation

@ 9:03 I hear 'moundings' where the text reads 'mouldings' in phrase
and apply the lips smartly to the muzzle mouldings.

@9:05 a slight repeat of ' Third motion: Break off promptly in both legs'

@ 9:30 I hear 'smooth' where the text reads 'smother' in phrase
and smother her with roses.

Harley, I want you to know that this is the first time I have ever wanted to apologize for having to post Notes. This seemed, to me, a very difficult chapter to read and you did it so very well. The paragraph that begins 'Kisses are forced, unwilling, cold,' was worthy of special mention! Kudos to you

Darn. It's actually out of character for me to make that many word mistakes, so I'm wondering if I just totally failed to enunciate and made smother sound like smooth etc.

I'll take a listen, see if I can fix it, and if not I'll do another take. (If so it might be a few days to record and edit it.)

You do know how to copy/paste and edit, right?
Because "redoing" would mean that you record the whole thing from scratch, which is not necessary at all!
And it would mean that our lovely DPL has to listen to the whole thing again, which is a lot of work for her if everybody would do that - not that I think you don't sound great.

Yes, I definitely know how to edit. I just don't want to punch in single words and have it not match up well. (What I call the "Rockford Files ADR" effect.) I might punch in just the sentences that are bad, with the same mic in the same spot.

Unfortunately the next day I have any free time is Sunday. But I'll try to have it posted then.

Editing a single word is always difficult - it's impossible to get the right sound!

You can go both ways:
- Either you redo the whole sentence or paragraph - listen and speak along with yourself before you start recording to get the tone and pace right - and replace.
- or you redo the whole sentence and then replace only the one minute part that you got wrong.

In this particular case, you will have to do the former, but maybe on the first mistake (infection/affection) you can try to replace the IN with an A.
Caveat Emptor: This takes a lot of work to get this right and you yourself will probably still hear that there's a problem, but this is the most seamless method I know.

Hi. Thanks for the pointers.

I recorded all the replacement parts yesterday, but want to spend a little more time on the edit to get things matching up really well. I will definitely have it posted this week.

Those words were actually wrong. Not that I doubted it, but I thought it might be an enunciation problem. When I recorded it, I was focused on the performance rather than the words, and said the wrong word in all those places.

I replaced the sentences with the mistakes, and the entire paragraph at 9:03 "During the late rebellion". The rest of the content is the same as before.
