There's a couple of editing opportunities in Chapter 6. At 7:29, "They all knew that Dr. Park...." there is gap of several seconds and then the sentence starts again. At 11:36, following "With the human side of..." there are about 30 words skipped. It sounds like an editing error and not a reading error, so I hope you still have the original recording.

Hi Arlene,
I fixed the gap at 7:29 but I listened carefully to the 11:36 part and couldn't hear or read the missing words in the text. But I did correct something I missed the first time ., which was "he loved.... instead of "he liked"
I've uploaded the fixed chapter.

Here is the piece that's missing, with the surrounding text. The part in italics is what is missing.

communication with the human side of the work. And Karl gave Parkman his complete confidence; that was why there was so much to tell now. He must go over the story of his year's work, touch upon his plans, his new ideas

Hi Arlene,
I got it, finally. You're a good editor; I couldn't find that mistake so quickly.

Here is Chapter 9.

In general, I would love critical feedback; in particular, I am worried about fluctuating volume in this. If the volume is too variable, please let me know and I will re-record.

ETA: length is 10:20

Jennifer,

The volume changes in chapter 9 are not bad. I can notice them, but they are not distracting. Most people have volume changes caused by editing until they get a lot of editing experience.

I can't give you much for critical feedback. The reading is very good. The only thing I see that you could work on would be the clicks. If you listen closely, you can hear a click every two or three sentences. I have trouble with those when I read, too. They don't sound like they would be a noise made by your mouth, but they usually are. I never noticed them before I started recording, but now I always notice them. Overall, that's a pretty minor thing, though. I wouldn't even have mentioned it if you hadn't asked for critical feedback.

I've updated the Magic Window to mark chapter 9 as PL OK. Thanks for reading!

Sure, how about the next one? 10?

And I will listen with a more critical ear for clicks! BTW, is there a way to not make them or is something you have to take care of with editing?
