COMPLETE [PLAY] La Bohème by Giacosa & etc.-maryann
I do apologize. I have not been in here in a while and decided to check the status of things. The workbench did not tell me that I had anything ready for spot PL in this forum so I have not done anything. To ensure my prompt attention, please ensure that the status column entry is updated to "Ready for Spot PL" in the project upload page. That being said I will do it now. Better late than never I suppose. Very sorry for my delay in doing this.

Hi Donald, Thanks so much for your help and your patience. The error I cited has been fixed perfectly! However, there is one error that I did not see before, only because I was not well enough equipped to detect it. The volume does fall outside the accepted bounds for librivox. This comes in at 94.6dB and should be between 86-92dB. Please correct that and reupload for the ok. You are able to do this without having to re-record anything. I do not know the specifics because I am not a recording artist, but there is and amplify and a leveler function in the audacity software that will allow you to do this. I hear the leveler is better because it will not cause clipping. If you need more information I am sure someone here can help you out. Thanks.

Section 31, Mimi, Act 2
Hi Lydia. I am so sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this project. Anyways there are a few things that still require attention.
I did not know previously how to check the gain, and I do now. Upon checking the link in the mw, this section comes in at 82.9dB volume and should be between 86-92dB. This will have to be corrected. But there is one more thing... The link the the mw still contains the error previously stated, however the new upload link in your post is corrected. For some reason this link did not update in the mw. Thanks.

Lydia, the volume is good on this one, however the file in the mw is not updated. The file in your post however is perfect. Just look into why your files did not update in the mw please. Thanks.

Just checking in to say that I'm still here. I'm across the country from my usual recording setup, but I just got access to a microphone, so I'll get there in the end.

Hi Lydia. Thanks for your prompt response. The volume is still low at 83.9dB and has to be at least 86dB for most Admin to archive it, so that has to be fixed. On another note, the link in the mw still does not link to this file. I am unsure why that is... My guess is that the new file name is slightly different than the original file name. That is what I have read anyways. So I looked into it;
old file link: https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/boheme_mimi_02.mp3
new file link: https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/laboheme_mimi_02.mp3
Looks like you can take the "la" out of the new file name and it should link automatically to the mw and override the old file. But fix the dB level first please.

Okay, here's a louder version of Mimi for act 2. I did the title like you said.

I think I got Benoit's volume down. I looked at one of Phil's videos and got some ideas. I hope this file is better.

May I claim the role of Rudolph?

The volume is still a little high at 93.1. You can check the volume using the Checker or MP3 gain in the following links.GilmoreDon wrote:I think I got Benoit's volume down. I looked at one of Phil's videos and got some ideas. I hope this file is better.
