It is 8:57.

I did a lot of re-recording and editing in and I'm afraid my volume levels are somewhat variable. So, please, honest feedback is requested: is it too variable? Is it annoying? I did try and work in Audible to even it out but I guess I am too much of a newbie because I usually thought that made it worse.

I would rather start from scratch (it's not a long chapter!) than submit a chapter whose audio quality would impact a listener in a negative way.

Well, i could be shocked that you missed a precious word I wrote BUT i just listened to my reading of chap 8 and I missed whole words! With the page right in front of me!!! So...I live in a glass house and will NOT be throwing stones! :lol:
