Thanks! Chapter 14 is 99% of the way to being PL OK. It's just a little bit loud. It's 92.6 dB, and ideally it would be 89 dB (or a dB or two either side of that).

Could you please make it a teeny bit quieter and re-upload it with exactly the same file name? If you're not sure how to do that, when you have chapter 14 open in Audacity, click on 'Effect' and then on 'Amplify'. Where it says 'Amplification (dB)', type in a minus sign and the amount by which you want to reduce it and click 'OK'. Thank you, Kathleeen - chapters 11 and 12 are PL OK! Could you please check the running time of chapter 11? My pc is telling me that it's 15.55, and that certainly sounded complete, but I just wanted to double check.

Chapter 13 is PL OK.

Chapter 16 has one very short repetition at 24.33-24.35: 'She laughed to look herself...'. The next sentence begins 'She laughed to herself and looked up at the splendid moon...'. Could you please delete the repetition and upload the new file with exactly the same file name, please?

I tried again -- in my previous version I had amped the original file by +10, since my system is a little quiet, but this time I just amped the original by +8. I hope this is better.

Thank you! I have run the file through Checker again, and, rather mysteriously, it's telling me that the volume is the same.

Since this was +8, could you perhaps try it with a little bit lower number to see if that does the trick? We can start with that and see how it works.

I have had so many attempts at this chapter I have lost all sense of its meaning and it is all blurring into one! However, having spent 3 nights last week in hospital with my very poorly daughter (13), who is happily now recovered, I have stopped worrying about small things like trying to do the perfect audio. So here is my latest effort. Please let me know if I should do it again - I will totally understand.

In the meantime, undaunted, can I have Chapter 22?
