Let me know if it is ok to move on to the second one with these settings and this recording setup. I'm always up for constructive criticism. Also, is the name correct? It is "Chapter the Fifth", but it is the sixth section.

Great reading, Tim! There are just a few things that need to be corrected.

First, in the intro it should say "The Story of the Champions of the Round Table, by Howard Pyle. Chapter Fifth" and then continue as you have it. The outro should say "End of chapter Fifth". (I know it's different, but it's how the author wrote it!) The chapters do not line up with the section numbers because this project has a prologue and forward. With each project, you'll have to read the first post carefully because some projects use "Section" and some use "Chapter" in the intro/outro

Hope that helps explain!

Second, the volume is too low at 85.7 dB. The acceptable range is 86-92 dB, but we use 89 as a target for group projects. This keeps listeners from having to adjust their volume from one chapter to another. Please amplify the file and then reupload. I can help you, if you need info on how to amplify.

Otherwise, the file is PL OK

Since this was your first recording after your 1-minute test, it was wise to have this one PLed before recording more to work out the kinks. From now on though, you can record and upload however many chapters you have been assigned and each one will be PLed individually. I've had someone upload 10 files to one project at a time before....granted they were shorter reads
