How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
Is there a deadline? We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1 month of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after one month, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen. Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the one month deadline.
Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)! If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Thanks Larry! I would love to have you DPL and sure, you can read those poems.
(I like finding out that authors I like wrote poems. I'm reading her book What Katy Did Next right now )

I agree with using the short poetry disclaimer, but I think it would be best if the first section of the book started off with the full LV disclaimer. No need to add that the MW if you are Larry are willing to read that poem . . . I'm sure either one of you could say it in your sleep.
Haha... yes, we probably could. I'll just read that first poem.
Thank you for MC'ing MaryAnn!

These are all PL OK, Rachel.
I will say, however, that I think they would be improved by running Noise Reduction. (I routinely do this on my recordings.) Although this is certainly within acceptable parameters, I think they recordings would sound even better. But, this is just an observation and you can do with it what you will.
You are truly an amazing LibiVoxer!
So glad you're doing this volume of verses. (Mine are recorded and will be on their way to you shortly.)
Thanks Larry! I always do quite a bit of noise removal, but I prefer to leave a little in than to do too much cleaning because then it sounds worse I can try doing a bit more tomorrow, we'll see how it sounds
Thanks for your poems - hopefully I can listen to them tomorrow!

This is my first recording. I have been given the OK in Listeners Wanted. I would like to do passage 8, On The Shore. If this goes well, I would like to do more.

Well, here is my first recording. I hope it is ok. I couldn't figure out how to download and install the volume checker program, so let me know if there is a decibel issue.
I won't be offended if you would like to give me pointers and have me redo the recording.
