You may, I will reassign those two sections. :)
Would it sound better if section 2 was handled by sdaeley17? I'm happy to step aside if that's desirable (and the part is wanted!). Otherwise I'll work on having it up in the next few days.
I've messaged them and will wait for a response. :) If sdaeley17 hasn't shown interest in a week or so, please go ahead and record.

Hi, Jaci!
I'd love to tackle that final section. Thank you for being so thoughtful!

Please message me with any notes, and I'll make any corrections you think necessary. I'll also be working on "Beauty" next. Cheers!
Thanks for your fine reading of these poems!

There are, however, several technical issues that need to be taken care of.

1). The files must be named in exactly the correct format. You will always find this in the instructions just under the Magic Window in the initial post. For this project it is:

Save files as
128 kbps MP3
leda_##_huxley_128kb.mp3 (all lower-case) where ## is the section number (e.g.

So, you should export your files as:
leda_16_huxley_128kb
leda_17_huxley_128kb
leda_18_huxley_128kb

as .mp3 files which will be appended to the end. Then upload them per instructions and they should come out right.

2. The Ninth Philosopher's Song is at too low a volume, measuring 80.8 dB on Checker. The LibriVox target is 89dB with a range of 2-3 dB either side. So, this one will need some amplifcation.

3. The beginning silence should be LESS than ONE second. All of these are closer to FOUR seconds.

4 The ending silence should be only FIVE seconds, and all of these are longer. Easy to trim.

5. The ending, what we often call the "outro," for this project is:
"End of poem. This recording is in the public domain."
The second sentence of this does not appear in any of these recordings, so will have to be added to each one.

These technical things will become second nature after awhile, so don't worry. Just make these corrections, upload them again as before and post another note here with the new file lengths.

All the best,
Rohasfin hasn't logged in since August 2015. I've tweaked his recordings. The intro and outro aren't exactly word-perfect, but they have all the required elements.

Okay, I'll mark them PL-OK if you're alright with them. :)

Someone made a post in here in the last 6 hours. (I got an email notification.) The post and any files uploaded in the past 6 hours have been lost. See here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=60391

Please redo whatever you did before. :)
