Thank you, sir!

And were you asking if I would like to PL, or someone else?

Hi Sean,

Please say "end of part 1, of [name of poem]." I hope that helps! Silverquill, I'll sign you up for those ones.

Sorry about the confusion, Sean. I should have been clearer. I need more practice with the forum too, even after 2600 posts

My remark about PLing was really for Tortilla, our hard-working Book Coordinator. The dilemma I always have is that I PL books that I also like to read for, so the PL task usually falls on the BC, but sometimes someone else will do it. I'm sure Tortilla wouldn't mind if you wanted to volunteer. 8-)

I didn't answer the question about how to end the parts of the poem because that is really the BC's call. I just listen. But, the answer given is the one I would have given.

Thanks so much for tackling that long poem! I'm glad I get to listen to you read it. You will provide a great frontpiece to this volume.

All the best,

Somehow (2) slipped into your file name at the end.
It might help to upload it again, just to make it easier for our MC.

Please message me with any notes, and I'll make any corrections you think necessary. I'll also be working on "Beauty" next. Cheers!
For the record, I changed these file names in the uploader and MW to their correct ones. They were way out of order and stuck out like sore thumbs, such that I didn't know which project they belonged to. :)

Well, read, but the volume is too low -- only 82.0 dB.
So, amplify it up closer to 89dB and upload again.

Thanks, Sean!

Rats, and I remembered to normalize to -3 and everything! I'll amp up and reload.

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/leda_01_huxley_128kb.mp3 (6:48)

BTW, what tool do you use to measure average levels, Silverquill?

I use Checker which also checks for other parameters set to LibriVox standards. Here is a link to the LibriVox page:

http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker

I use that when proof listening. When I'm recodring, I now use an Audacity plugin called ReplayGain. Saves me tons of time.

Oh, Section 1 is now PL OK. Thanks.
