One small item:
at 15:50 the figure $630,054.60 was misread as $360,054.60
Okay, correction made and uploaded. So many numbers. Thanks for catching that.

Those are the last two sections to be claimed, so we are full. Thanks so much.

Now, if everyone records and we don't have to orphan any sections, we're in good shape

Happy 4th of July! Section 13 is uploaded.

Besides the grilled burgers, salads, luscious desserts, friends and fireworks, I wished I could record something patriotic for the 4th, and parts of Section 13 proved just the thing. How the postal service's rural delivery service was largely responsible for developing our highway system and vastly enriching our country, was great food for thought. How surplus war airplanes gave rise to our air mail service, made me proud. And the description of our post office's 143rd anniversary being on the twenty-sixth of July, 1917, stirred up some patriotic pride. Because PD constraints keep us reading older material, I think most of us LV'ers are becoming far better educated about the history of our country than most Americans will ever learn in school.

Section 10 is uploaded, and Section 13 re-uploaded with a few important changes and a different time:

This completes my assignments to date, pending PL comments.

Great! These are in the MW Ready for PL.
It may be awhile because our DPL is on a trip, but I know he will get to it just as soon as possible.

Thanks so much for your valuable contributions to this project!

My trip is done. We drove 3050 miles from New Hampshire to our new home in Carson, WA. with two cats and two dogs. Now the unloading of furniture, unpacking, etc. But I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Jially wrote:Hi! May I claim Chapter 1? And I have a quick questions related to that: as I was skimming over the table of contents, I noticed that the "Latest Facts" section is listed under Chapter 1. But it's not actually part of Chapter 1. Would I read that section?

Thanks!
Yours was the first claim for this project back in April, and we are now full so I am hoping that everyone who signed up will be able to complete recording their sections soon. We are well past the two-month limit. Any chance of receiving your recording soon? Let me know.

All the best,
~ Larry
