Hi Carolin. For us newbies, what does an orphan mean?
Thanks,
Domenica

an orphan is a section previously assigned to a reader, but that reader had to give up the section. so the section was "orphaned" by the reader :)

I see.... and how do we know which particular section is orphaned? is it in the MW? Maybe I can give it a home :D

ah, in this case its difficult to see as other sections are also still open. orphans are advertised more and it is more pressing to find a new reader if the project is otherwise full, or even complete, except for this one or two oprhaned sections.

i dont usually put the section number -- especially as all our open sections are looking for readers, not just the one that was previously assigned to a reader :)
