notes on section 68:

Great Reading!

at about 8:48 "carbonic acid gas" is read as "carbonic gas"

Let me know if you want to address that or just do PL OK

one small issue:

"at about 2:20 "head of a small pin" is read as "head of a pin""

Let me know if you want to change it or just do PL OK

I am sorry, that was a typo. 61 was perfect, 60 stays unchanged. The MW has it correct, only the note here was incorrect.

hello,
on vol 2. page 265, how do i read the numbers in this sentence?:

Suppose we have fourteen parts of oxide of lead : to convert it into muriate of lead, 4·625 parts (by weight) of muriatic acid would
be necessary, and during the formation of the muriate of lead there would be deposited 1·125 parts of Water.

thanks,
kate

4.625 ---> four and six hundred twenty-five thousandths
1.125 ---> one and one hundred twenty-five thousandths

page 270:
Muriatic acid, composed of chlorine and hydrogen
Hydriodic acid . . . iodine and hydrogen

is ellipsis read as "hydroiodic acid, composed of iodine and hydrogen"?
thanks.

It kinda' flows better that way.
Or you could just omit it. I think it's understandable either way.

There are some technical spec corrections needed on these sections:

Section 12
- Volume is 95.2 db. Please amplify by -6 db to hit the 89 db (± 2) target.
- Edit to only have 5 seconds silence at the end.

Section 13
- Volume is at 92.3 db. Please amplify by -3 db to hit the 89 db (± 2) target.

Section 14
- Volume is at 93.6 db. Please amplify by -4 db to hit the 89 db (± 2) target.
- Edit to only have 5 seconds silence at the end.

Section 55
- Recording is at 85.4 db, you need to amplify by +3 db to hit 89 db.
- Please also check that the silence at the end should only be 5 seconds.

Section 56 - 59
- Please edit to have 0.5-1 second silence at the beginning and 5 seconds silence at the end.

Sorry, I forgot to check them earlier. Also PM'ed the readers.

Thanks!

Fixed! Sorry for the delay - summer was.... blargh. Anyway, I'll work on the PL edits for submitted sections and editing/posting the other 2 sections I owe here ASAP.
