PL notes for section 17:

at ~1.30, a repeat/stumble on "Pwca’r"

a tiny pause/hesitation at ~16.58 on " sumptuous apparel," possibly not a big deal.

at ~20.25 "a dog" is repeated

and another tiny hesitation at ~25.25 between "turned about" and "the circle"

and now... I think I will claim some chapters to read! may I have a go at sections 18 and 23? we'll see how those shorter ones go for me, and then maybe I'll do a few more. this book seems quite lovely and intriguing, from the bits I have listened to.

Translation for those of us who aren't Martin Geeson or myself  What? There're parts of this book in Welsh? How gross! I haven't read lots of this post, but if you want help with the pronunciations of some words or if there are entire sections in Welsh...Well, here I am

I've been begging for any help on this!!! The longer passages of Welsh have English translations, so I've been 'forced' to say we'll just read the translations  but there are odd words and names splattered throughout that we've just had to do our best with. Please say you'll read some :9: :9: :9:

I have a "guide to Welsh pronunciation" here somewhere - I'll search back for it - from Welsh Fairy Tales.

How do you want to do this then? You could do a "Welsh read by Charlotte Duckett" on the chapters with any Welsh poetry in it and I'd read the poetry and can edit it in (well versed in editing as I'm here on a break from the dramatic forum  )

Thank you for the offer.
Any pronunciation guides would help, I'm sure. A few have been mentioned, but they are not comprehensive.

As for you recording the Welsh sections, thank you for the offer. I've checked with other admins and it seems you can only do this at the request of the reader... so if someone sees your offer and wants to take you up on it, go for it but otherwise, I'm going to have to decline. Of course, you're welcome to grab any of the remaining sections (and look through to see which have the Welsh verse in?)

I have just uploaded part 18, which is my first longer recording so far! I am sure it is not perfect. some of this Welsh is a little scary so far.

after a spot PL, Section 17 is PL okay.

I'll try to PL section 12 this weekend, too.
