Thank you for claiming. Unfortunately I can't get you started as I'm on the road but I have asked Bev if she will help out til I get home.
In the meantime, have you completed your one minute test? It's more of a test of your specs than you, but we ask all new readers to go through it. I'd recommend waiting until you get the thumbs up on that before recording "for real" although you might want to pre-read the section as this book is a little challenging for some people.
One of the things I've asked Bev to help with is adding you to the catalog - all readers need to be in there. Most of us go by our real names, but you can use your forum name or a pseudonym. Just let us know.
Any questions, just ask.
Lynne
Hi Lynne!. Thank you!. I will be working on the one minute test shortly.
The name that I use on the forum is also my real name.
So it is fine if I am added to the catalog as Geralizze :).

:) Happy to help out but I didn't get your request Lynne. :? Probably got lost on the road somewhere. I'll update the MW until I hear that you're home safe and sound.

Ok, Geralizze, I have entered you in the MW for Section 2 and I see that Icequeen has got you entered in the catalogue and has let you know where to upload your test.

Have fun!

Here is section 6 - 22.09 - https://librivox.org/uploads/darvinia/britishgoblins_06_sikes_128kb.mp3
And 7 - 18.40 - https://librivox.org/uploads/darvinia/britishgoblins_07_sikes_128kb.mp3

I am listening to Wild Wales. Steve Gough makes that Ll sound (and all the Welsh place names) sound so smooth and . . . well, Welsh. This falls far short, but hopefully is passable.

I'm sure it's wonderful... The Welsh 'll' is kind of 'thll', kind of ' cll', kind of grandma losing her dentures (apologies to our Welsh friends)... Not easy for those of us not born to it  Thank you for giving it your best

BTW, I have a style question:

Each chapter contains a grouping of subject headings. Would you like those read? Would you like each individual subject heading read at the beginning of the section it is covering?

Hi Gary
Thank you for claiming. If you open the link to the Google doc in the notes section, it will be easier to see what you are to read. Anything in red may be omitted (welsh text, where an English translation is provided).
I don't know if you are, in fact, Welsh, but don't worry if you're not... No one stepped up as an expert in Welsh pronunciation, so we just do our best :D ... And the book was written by an American.
