Grazie.

Buon giorno, Pier :)

I hope you also understand English, because my Italian grammar is a bit rusty :? Mary seems to be absent for the moment, but if the section is OPEN in the MW, then you are free to claim it. So 24 can be reserved for you and you can go ahead and record it. You find all the important things for the intro/outro and how to name your file correctly in the first post.

I will open your personal reader page for you soon and post back here.

Have fun and good luck with your first recording. :D

As promised, here is your personal reader page. I signed you up with the Reader name "Pier", like you mentioned in your previous post.

https://librivox.org/reader/12428

Here you can always check which projects you are participating in, and which sections you still need to record.

Have fun !

Many thanks Sonia!
I do understand English, even if I do not feel enough confident to read in English.
I'll try to do my best with my first try.

All right Pier, I had a bit of time, so I listened to your poem. I'm sure you are already eagerly awaiting feedback.

Well I can assure you, your reading is PERFECT. :9: Very easy to listen to, very fluent reading, without being too fast. No textual errors at all and all the technical settings are correct as well. There is nothing you need to correct, I can mark it PL ok right away.

Congratulations on your first recording, and I hope we hear more from you :)

Many thanks Sonia, for your nice comments. :D
I would like to go on reading, asking to be assigned the following texts:

25 Videro gli occhi miei quanta pietate
26 Color d’amor e di pietà sembianti
27 L'amaro lagrimar che voi faceste

Unlikely I have a bit of a cold just now and my voice is very low so I’ll have to wait a bit for the return of my normal voice before recording.
Thanks again, bye,
Pier

thank you, Pier, for choosing some more :9: I'll assign them to you.
And take care of your voice first, you still need it ;) There is no rush.

since this project doesn't seem to have a DPL yet, I thought it wouldn't hurt to help Mary a bit with the backlog. :)

Algy, I liked your narration of the poem very much. Your Italian is super  and it was so agreeable to let it breeze me by. :9:

I did find two minor textual errors, which you may want to correct though:

> at 4.12: (p. 106): “L’immaginar fallace / Mi condusse a veder madonna morta” – you say “moria” (agreed the print was a bit difficult to read)

> at 4:22: (p. 106) “Ed avea seco una umiltà verace” – I think you say “ulmita” if I’m not mistaken :hmm:

The rest was perfect. Great job :)

Linda, excellently read as well  Your Italian pronunciation is very good, it surely helps that you speak Spanish and French ;) I loved to listen to this. Thank you. Can be marked PL ok right away.

and the last one of the backlog :) Simona, I remember you from the Apollinaire poetry project :9: your Dante poem was so fantastically narrated, you have an almost mystical quality to your voice here, it was awesome to listen to. Hope to hear more from you.

PL ok, definitely. Thanks

And with that we are up-to-date so far :)

Hello Sonia,
I did take advantage from the fact that my voice improved today, so I recorded section 25 “Videro gli occhi miei quanta pietade” .
This is the link:
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/rime_025_alighieri_128kb.mp3
the recording time is 1:02
Waiting, as always, your comments and suggestions,
Pier

yes your voice sounds quite healthy again. :9: Wonderfully narrated again, Pier. These poems are so much easier to listen to than just reading by myself. Dante has a bit of an antique use of spelling some words or turns of phrases. But it all becomes clearer when I listen to you with a good intonation and expressiveness.

Totally PL ok again. Thanks !

Sonia
