[COMPLETE] The Fairchild Family - annise
Thank you for the edits, Roohi. I really enjoy listening to your reading style. There are a few PL notes on each of those two sections.
PL notes section 38:
5:10 - I hear - "died of a rapid __cline", should be "decline"
Also, the volume is a bit soft now, at 84.2. Please amplify by 4 or 5.
PL note section 40:
2:50 - I hear "Lucy guessed what made her sad, (longlish pause, please reduce it to maybe 1 second) and for some seconds.."
7:20 - false start "How very How very pleasant"
The volume on this section is also a bit under what we would like, please amplify by 3.
Thank you for working on this! I know it can be frustrating. If you would like to be able to check the volume yourself, you can use either Checker orMP3Gain. Both of them are free to download and use.
A last thing: it sounds like you maybe have used aggressive noise cleaning. That would explain why there is some distortion to your voice. Many readers find that two gentle rounds of noise cleaning is better than one heavier one. It also helps to make sure the room you record in is as quiet as possible - the less background noise in the first place, the less you have to remove. It can also be a good idea to save a raw (unedited) file of you recordings, and if you find that the editing you do produce a tinny, metallic sound to your voice, it is possible to start again, using less noise cleaning.
Again, thank you for your willingness to edit and improve, I look forward to hearing you again!

Sorry if I'm telling you something you already know - but I find the <undo> in the drop down edit menu fantastic . One of the reasons Audacity needs so much memory is that it keeps everything you have done in that session , so you can try something , listen , and if you don't like it undo it . I still always save at intervals as a .flac file just in case (it's small and lossless and you can just upload it into audacity if needed) .

Thanks Anne! I didn't know that!
What I usually do is to save the "raw" recording in a separate file. Then I try different settings as much as I like, in the knowledge that I can't "wreck" my original file with over processing! (I did this once by accident - I was recording while it was raining. When I took out the rain noise I also lost every single "s" in the whole file and had to redo the whole thing! Since then I always save before doing anything - but the FLAC idea sounds more space efficient!)

Thank you for the tips, Anne!
Thank you for your edits, Roohi! Sections 38 and 40 are now within the right volume range. The sound quality is not great, but it is ok. Section 38 has a (new) repeat:
5:05 "That your lovely cousin Emily That your lovely cousin Emily"
That is the last thing to fix on it
Section 40 is PL OK

Just a quick note to let you know that I will be recording and sending my sections (33-36) the week of 9/7... I was out of town for a few weeks, and am going away again until 9/6 so I won't have access to my recording studio. Didn't want you to think I was ignoring my responsibilities! If you feel the need to reassign, I will understand (although I am looking forward to reading these).
