I'm sorry Bill, but Section 20 was claimed a few posts above. Is there another chapter that you would like to read?
MaryAnn

I said it was the story of my life.

Since my ISP is down, I can't see the MW like I could when I was at the library and the MW shadowed it was available......it will be a while b4 I have access again.

Bill Mosley - these sections are still open:
8 - Gouverneur Morris
11 - The "General Armstrong" Privateer
13 - John Qincy Adams and the Right of Petition
14 - Francis Parkman

Does any of these interest you?

Bill2147 - MW updated for your claim on section 16.

Thank you Anne.

Next time you submit a file, please include the duration of the file. I don't need the file size, if you don't want to put that in.

Anne
Anne,

Your reading is great. The only issue is the volume. Your file is 95.3 dB. Our target is 89 dB, but 87-91 is ok. I will adjust the volume on this one when I catalog the project. But you should consider reducing the input volume on your mic a bit. If the input volume is too high, it will cause clipping, where the tops and bottoms of your sound files are cut off. This can cause distortion. It's better to record a bit below the 89 dB target, and then amplify your file a bit if needed before you upload it.

If you are using audacity, then there is a slider bar at the top with a microphone next to it. Move this one notch (10%) to the left.

And yes, you may claim the final two sections. I'll move us over to readers found.

Hi MaryAnn,

Thank you for the tip. I will do.

That's kind of funny cuz my first recording for another book was too low... I gotta find that happy medium. Now that I know where that slider bar is for the mic I'll be able to adjust it.

Thanks
Anne
