Rachel, I've a question about Mordecai's lines in chapter 9/10. These seem to me more narration than Mordecai actually speaking, but I will read that bit if you wish.

It looks to me like the letter he is writing. So he isn't actually saying it, but he's writing it. I'd like you to read those lines please

I guess it is a matter of interpretation, my view is he wrote the preceeding lines to the Jews...

For the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together
on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three
hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their
hand.
But the other Jews that were in the king's provinces gathered
themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest
from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five
thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,
On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth
day of the same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and
gladness.
But the Jews that were at Shushan assembled together on the
thirteenth day thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on
the fifteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day
of feasting and gladness.
Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled
towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of
gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions
one to another.

And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the
Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus,
both nigh and far,...
And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as
Mordecai had written unto them;
the lines following this should be the narrative of the results of the above.

But, thy will be done.

Hi,

Chapter 2 sounds great! Listening to DRs is so fun! There was one pronunciation you may want to note: In verse 3, the king's servant pronounced the name 'Hege' just as it is written, with a long 'e' and a soft 'g'. As far as I understand, this is the same name as in verse 8, which you pronounced 'Hegai' like 'Haggai' (which is the way I've always heard it.) It won't make a big difference, and it is spelled differently in the Bible.

Also at 4:14 (how did I miss that when I PL'ed your narration?) there was a stumble @ The king loved Esther a--above...

There was one hesitation @ 1:03-- Then was Haman full of wrath...
