thank you Mike for your patience. I listened to the first and it sounds fine but the DPL will still need to check them out. As a side note, you are not alone in needing to modify a recording set up when first starting. Many of us, including me, needed to do this. I just got a note from a reader who had similar problems several years ago, worked through them and now has 650 recordings in the catalog.MikeStanich wrote:Ok, having received constructive criticism, I have re-read a couple of the unacceptable files. I will await feedback from PL before doing the others to ensure the correctional steps taken actually resolve the issues indicated.

The most annoying part is that the recording software switched which mic it was using on its own. And the laptop built in mic is enough to catch everything but noisy so I didn't realize there was an issue. Oh well. It might be a bit before I get the rest re-recorded.
I'll keep you posted.
Sincerely,
Mike S.

Actually I recorded them about a month ago but haven't found the time (with illness and work) to clean them up. Planning to get to them tonight. Thanks for your patience.philchenevert wrote:Hi Pyledriver - Do you still wish to record those four sections? I will be orphaning them soon so let me know. Thanks

Thanks. It won't take that long, though. I managed to get three of the four cleaned up tonight. The last should appear some time next week (I have to get back to my students' papers tomorrow).philchenevert wrote:No problem. Hello,
A status update. I have completed raw (re-)readings of my remaining sections, but need sleep. I hope to have ready-to-upload edited versions by this time next week.
Sincerely,
Mike
