COMPLETE: Faust I by Goethe (trans. Taylor) - ge
Well, I'm looking forward to your more charming passages, too.
But I really liked your recording - the speed is just right, and the verses don't sound boring or repetitive (as can happen with rhymes like these).
Yes, that's a great idea re the music. For the Ulysses Circe project, we just made up some bits of song, and I'm happy for people to do the same here. The tricky parts are the passages where a group sings one piece together, as happens in several scenes. I guess someone has to be the ringleader and make up and post the song, and the others just have to learn it and follow suit. Another option is to choose a PD tune that everyone sings.

You specified WAV rather than MP3, and I took you at your word. File is close to 70 MB in size; about 13:38 in length. Also, it seemed pointless to include the LibriVox disclaimer at the beginning, as this will be edited down, so I just identified the scene and character at the beginning for reference. Let me know if you still need the full disclaimer.
I can try again if this isn't what you were looking for or if there are quality problems.
Cheers,
Ahab

Ok...here's (most of) section 13.
I got all the scenes I had done except for the old witch in scene 21. I posted something in the Need Help forum about this, but maybe you know what to do with it...her only line contains a bunch of random dashes and I don't know quite how I should read it...
Anyway...here's the rest of it...

I think I had distinctly too much fun with the last two -- the spirits in scenes 3 and 4. I'm not sure about the characterization...I mean, I like it, and it was fun to do, but I'm not sure if it matches what the play is asking for...let me know if there's a problem and I'll fix it...

Thanks, that's brilliant! I'll listen later (early April). About the blanked out bits, how about sort of humming along to fill the rhythm of the meter, as it were?timberwolfmage wrote:Ok...here's (most of) section 13.

Here goes section 10. I'm really unsure about the result, because I'm accostumed with prose, and this had verses and songs (!?!).
Also, since a lot of my scenes are in chorus I'm not sure if I should have read it faster or slower.
Anyway, if it needs fixings, let me now.
