Hi Patti, just two notes:

@06:58 there is a line missing "Ah yes, in spite of all my pains, the interesting fact remains, he was a little boy."

Act 2 is PL OK, but there is one paragraph missing from the last song (the big finale number), which Patience should join in. If you want to give me that, just stick it on the end of the Act 1 file and I'll move it when I edit. The lines in question are:

He will have to be contented
with a tulip or lily (pronounced li-LIE)
Greatly pleased with one another
To get married we decide
Each of us will wed the other
Nobody be Bunthorne's Bride!

Hilarious reading! Gilbert knew what he was doing when he wrote this one!

Hi, can I read for Archibald Grosvenor?

https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_harirk.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test2_harirk.mp3

Hope an English accent is okay?

Can I record all the lines in one file or is it a separate file for each line?

Cheers,
Hari

Love to have you read Grosvenor! English accent is spiffy, thanks! ;)

However, you need to post the link to your one-minute-test in the Listener's and Editor's Forum - not here. I'm not able to check it for you.

Then post Grosvenor's lines in two files please, one for each Act. Any other questions, post back here! Welcome aboard!

Sorry,

Here's a link to something I've already done. I meant to provide the link so that you could hear an example of something I previously did

That's very thoughtful of you, but completely unnecessary. Once you have done your 1-min-test and are technically approved to record you don't need to "audition" or submit anything for future claims.

I'll put your claim in the MW (Magic Window) and you can record as soon as you are ready! Have fun!

And in terms of formatting your files, the information is in the first post under the MW, but the final filenames should look like this: patiencedr_role_#.mp3

So in your case you will submit two files like this: patiencedr_grosvenor_1.mp3 and patiencedr_grosvenor_2.mp3

Please post the links and the length of the files in minutes and seconds (mm:ss) and I will PL them!

Act 1 is now PL OK!

Act 2 there is just one more thing:
at 00:05 one word missing "One of your own poems."
(As opposed to reading a poem written by someone else. This is a key part of the dialogue I'm afraid so I do want that one extra word please!)

Fixed and reuploaded!

Here is the first bit of the male chorus. Could you let me know if the style and rhythm and tempo of the recording is what you want and then I will record the rest.

Lovely! You are the first to submit lines for the male chorus! I always hear the music in my head, so I tend to imagine it going a tad quicker, but since you are going first you get to set the pace, I think! ;)

I can do the Colonel. Is that still available? Or I can do the Major.

Colonel and Major are both available, so I'll put you down for Colonel as I assume that was your first choice. Please read the lines for the male chorus (Dragoons) as well. Just read them as poetry, don't attempt to sing them, please.

Any questions post back here - glad to have you aboard!

Duke act 2 was uploaded without the lines of the Quintette. I have now added these at 3:00.
